Roger De Bruyn was born in Boom (Antwerp), Belgium. He was appointed professor at the Faculty of Applied Economics at the Universiteit Antwerpen in Economic Support (1964) and Creative Thinking (1980 - 1996). Roger De Bruyn was born in Boom (Antwerp), Belgium. He was appointed professor at the Faculty of Applied Economics at the Universiteit Antwerpen in Economic Support (1964) and Creative Thinking (1980 - 1996). He published various books, including 'The Handbook of Creative Thinking' and 'Experiences of paradise versus corporate interests: creative aggression, creative regression, creative progression', 'Creaddenda', and 'Creativity, Alfa Omgea Vision form, from rules of the game to newstream management'. Professor Emeritus Roger De Bruyn has been a guest professor at many Dutch colleges and universities. De Bruyn and Prosper Vanosmael, who where both professor at the Faculty of Applied Economics in Antwerp in the seventies of the last century, founded the Centre for the Development of Creative Thinking (COCD). Inspired by the revolutionary thoughts of people like Edward de Bono, Alex Osborn and Arthur Koestler, Vanosmael and De Bruyn developed their own inspiring method. COCD wants to propagate the importance of creative thinking to persons and groups in society and stimulate education.
