Richard Hooijdonk is living the future. He has an RFID chip in his hand that opens the door to his house and starts his car. The technology is not quite there yet, but in half a year, he will also have a chip to pay with. As a futurist, he is following developments closely, and he prefers entering the future before everyone else. He calls on companies to change and to prepare for the future, but how to do that?

Richard van Hooijdonk started his career as marketing director at banks, publishing companies and technology companies where he held strategic advisory positions, was part of management teams and sat on various boards of directors. Since 2007, he has been an inspirational speaker on various topics for companies and organizations such as NATO, European Commission, Sony, PWC, Oracle, ING, Rabobank and Google.

Last year, Richard van Hooijdonk was voted most sought-after keynote speaker in the Netherlands. His inspiration sessions have been attended by over 420,000 people. Last year he was able to inspire people around the world especially in the UK, India, Germany, Hungary, France, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Austria, Spain and Belgium.

Popular keynotes:

  • Trends! Onward to 2030

This is currently the most popular lecture. Trend watcher, futurist and international keynote speaker Richard van Hooijdonk takes you to an inspiring future where living, working and doing business will change dramatically. New technology will have an impact on everything we do. We also need to adapt our organisations and prepare people for these rapid developments.

  • Company of the future

A keynote lecture that shows you, in an inspiring way, how managers and directors can prepare their organisations for an exponential future. Which skills do you need? What does inspirational leadership look like? How can you use the ‘new world’ to lead your organisation to the next phase? How do you build the organisation of the future?

  • The future of work

How do we build the 'workforce' of the future? As we gather knowledge and specialists from everywhere, a steady job will soon be a thing of the past. Our 21st century skills take us all around the world. Robots and machines will take over the work that is now carried out by people. Would a Basic income be the solution for 40% of the workforce? How do we build the workforce of the future? How do we trust and give employees freedom?

  • The future of cybercrime and terrorism

The future under fire, our safety at risk. Technology offers our society new opportunities but also leads to extreme danger. Groups with the wrong intentions can wreak havoc by attacking critical infrastructure. Our health is at risk. Pacemakers and hospital equipment are being hacked and 4D and bioprinters can become our biggest nightmares. It is almost impossible to keep up with the development of digital terrorism. But we might, if we take the right measures.
