Jaap is co-founder of DeLimes Organizational Development, established in Zwammerdam, the Netherlands. In daily practice he calls himself organization activist. He’s deeply appreciated by his clients for his unconventional and creative way of thinking about organizations.

Jaap is co-founder of DeLimes Organizational Development, established in Zwammerdam, the Netherlands. In daily practice he calls himself organization activist. He’s deeply appreciated by his clients for his unconventional and creative way of thinking about organizations.
Jaap is initiator and head of the editorial board of the quarterly magazine `Slow Management’ that appeared for the first time in the summer of 2007.
Next to his consultancy practice Jaap is President of the Chaosforum.com Foundation, the European network of scientists and consultants working on the application of Chaos and Complexity theory in organizations.
Jaap is a well-known author of management literature in the Netherlands. His books `Strategy out of Chaos and `Introduction in Chaos thinking’ resulted in lectureships at Business University Nyenrode (strategy), University of Wageningen (innovation) and University of Utrecht (chaos theory).
In 2005, his third book `Intensive People Farming, how quality solves in rationality’, was published. In 2006 the book was nominated as management book of the year in the Netherlands. Since then 25.000 copies of the book have been sold. He also wrote ‘Het Rijnland Boekje’ (The Rhineland Way), ‘Bij welke reorganisatie werk jij?’ (At which reorganization do you work?), Nieuw Europees Organiseren (New European Organize) and ‘Het Rijnland Praktijkboekje’ (The Rhineland Practice Way).
Beside the books Jaap has numerous publications on his name, he is columnist for several magazines and a member of the Dutch Order of Organization experts and consultants in the Netherlands (OOA). He has been a member of the Organizational Development Network since 2003. He worked 10 years for Ernst & Young Consultancy and 15 years for DeLimes Organizational Development.
