About Alfredo Silva
Alfredo Silva is a creative entrepreneur. Born in Madureira, one of the slums of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), he is now head of the Dutch luxury watch brand: Fromanteel.
Alfredo’s life is a colourful rollercoaster in which ambition, curiosity and empathy always have been strong incentives. He believes in two credos: “For every problem there is a solution.” and “Opportunities do not merely exist, they are created.”
After earning his masters degree in business at the universities of Barcelona and Nijmegen, Alfredo began his career in advertising as a marketing and brand strategist. He advises many brands – including some well-known brands such as Mitsubishi, RedBull, and Disney in subjects such as communication, marketing and strategy.
While working in advertising, he founded the online magazine named ‘Klatergoud’, where he published numerous articles on luxury marketing and branding. His specific interest in luxury branding stems from an idea that brought him to start his own watch brand.
Alfredo strives sustainable long-term success with all his endeavours. He believes that there are some wise lessons that can be drowned from what luxury brands currently doing. In fact, the disciple that requires to achieve high quality in all of our output, being personal or in business, is something that luxury brands have successfully being practising for years.
Soon Alfredo decides to start his own watch brand, following a childhood dream of his, and personally gives a contemporary spin to the luxury dogma by being the first to come up with an successful ‘Affordable Luxury’ watch brand: Fromanteel. “Luxury is going through an interesting moment in time and doing so evolving into something many companies could learn from.”
Alfredo is a young entrepreneur with flair. He combines his entrepreneurial spirit with his excellent networking skills, creativity and an innovative, customer-oriented, thinking.
He believes that opportunities are created by thinking in personal and business and interests, combined with the willingness to persevere, even when things are going to get tough: “Without friction, there is no shine.”
