James Dillon

We all possess the vibrant intelligence to meet our ambitions. Are we motivated enough? Are we able to mobilize our skills and experience to reach our goals? We need to catalyze our energy to drive our projects to success. For several years now, James Dillon accompanies individuals and teams in issues involved in change processes in a corporate environment.

James Dillon carried out 'training-action' missions for over 20 years involving communication, management, leadership, human resources and negotiation issues, especially for Philips and Sodern (EADS). Since 1999, he has been called on to coach managers, both for individuals and teams. He bases his coaching approach on multi-level listening, on a systemic vision as well as situational management, cognitive and behavioral tools.

His qualities as a facilitator have been proven in both French as well as in English in the following fields: finance, telecommunications, information systems, electronics, construction, aeronautics and medical.

Joining SF Coach in 2001, he received a first level of coaching training provided by Brigitte Warnez and based on the principles set down by Vincent Lenhardt.

Subsequently, He has broadened his knowledge of coaching with a certification program conducted by Mediat-Coaching and he has obtained a Myers Briggs Typology Indicator (MBTI) certification. He is also trained and accredited to use Team Management Systems (TMS) in order to work on team dynamics, as well as Opportunity Orientation Profile (OOP).

In terms of public poise, speaking and self-confidence, he underwent intensive training on theatrical and vocal techniques with E. Martin-Brown (London, 1976-77). Today, he accompanies managers who need to speak and communicate masterfully in public.

As a member of the Association Française des Conférenciers Professionnels, he gives conferences on these issues as well as on integration, diversity and sustainable development challenges in corporate settings. In a more technical context, he has designed and facilitated programs on safety issues with groups of engineers, studying cases of industrial and transportation accidents combining technical, organizational and human errors.

Since 2002, each month he writes articles in both French and English for Médiat-Coaching. Recently, he hasco-authored a book with Brigitte Warnez, ex-director of development at L’Oreal, on a 7-step change process, illustrating it with a management allegory about a team facing change.

James Dillon is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce and he participates in the HR taskforce as well as the American Club of Paris. As an accredited member of the Association Européenne de Coaching (AEC), he works on the European taskforce to promote this association.

Other projects include working with various engineering schools such as ESTACA and ECE to share my experience in the corporate world. He is often called on by the alumni network at ESSEC to accompany managers who are applying for international management positions.
