prof.dr. Eduard Bomhoff

Prof. dr. Eduard Bomhoff was professor of Economics at the University Nyenrode and founder/director of NYFER (Forum for Economic Re-search). From 1981 tot 1994 he was professor of Monetary Economics at the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. He was guest professor at universities in Singapore, Berlin, Kiel, Moscow and Louvain.

He was an adviser to the Bank of Japan in Tokyo and the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. Eduard Bomhoff published six books and more than 70 articles in scientific magazines. From July up to and including October 2002 Eduard Bomhoff was vice-prime minister and minister of Public Health in the interim cabinet Balkende I. Immediately after his resignation he published the bestseller 'Blind Ambition, my 87 days with Zalm and Heinsbroek'. Prof. Bomhoff is now Dean of the Social Faculty and Head of the Malaysia-based Business School of the University of Nottingham (UK). He is currently writing a book about the Islamic world.
