Pecha Kucha

In 2003, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (of Klein-Dytham Architects in Tokyo) devised a new speaking format that virally has spread to many cities across the world. They called this format Pecha Kucha which is Japanese for the sound of conversation ('chit-chat'). The idea is to present a message, an idea, a business, an invention or a creation in a concise presentation. Therefore the 20/20 Pecha Kucha format was created. A presenter is allowed to show 20 images, each shown 20 seconds. The result is a total presentation time of 400 seconds, which is 6 minutes and 40 seconds!
